Geoff P. Regan, PC , MP (born November 22 , 1959 in Windsor, Nova Scotia ) is a Canadian politician. He is the son of former Nova Scotia Premier Gerald Regan . Regan is a current member of the Liberal Party Of Canada in the Canadian House Of Commons , representing the riding of Halifax West since 2000 , and from 1993 to 1997 . Regan is a former administrator, Barrister and Solicitor , Commercial Law yer and Labour Law yer. He has served as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Leader Of The Government In The House Of Commons , and then served as the Minister Of Fisheries And Oceans under Paul Martin .
