Gara de Nord (''North Station'' in Romanian ) is the main railway station in Bucharest and the largest railway station in Romania . It is served by domestic trains operated by Căile Ferate Române as well as by international trains. The vast majority of mainline trains to/from Bucharest originate from Gara de Nord. It was initially name ''Gara Târgoviştei'', after the road nearby, ''Calea Târgoviştei'' (nowadays ''Calea Griviţei '').
