Vázquez made headlines when he announced that he would remain in Spain for at least the following season. This came as a surprise to the Magic, who drafted him with the expectation of him joining Dwight Howard in the frontcourt for the 2005-2006 season, and enraged many Magic fans. Vázquez currently plays for Akasvayu Girona as power center. He has a contract until 2008 - 2009 season. |
