The Four Seasons is a publicly traded corporation with headquarters in Toronto , Ontario , Canada . Isadore (“Issy”) Sharp founded the company in 1960 with the opening of the first Four Seasons Hotel on Jarvis Street in downtown Toronto. Bill Gates is one of the largest shareholders. The Four Seasons also has a residential program called the Residence Club that allows people to purchase Time Share s of villas that are part of the Four Seasons resort. The villas are maintained and furnished by the company and may also be priced from the $700,000's. Four Seasons hotels are found in major cities and resort areas all over the world.
