, placed by the Interior Department at the exact point.]] The Four Corners is a region in the western , Colorado , New Mexico and Arizona . This is the only place where four U.S. states come together at one point. Their intersection is in the middle of a large Navajo reservation. Four Corners occurs at the coordinates 37 degrees north, 109 degrees west (). Because the Four Corners is part of a high plateau, it is often a center for weather systems, which stabilize on the plateau, then proceed eastward toward the central and mountain states. This weather system creates snow and rainfall on the central part of America. SEE ALSO |
