''For Your Consideration'' is being Directed (and co-written) by prolific "mockumentarian" Christopher Guest , only this time it's not a " Mockumentary ," although still largely improvised by the actors.

Guest's familiar cast of actors will return from '' This Is Spinal Tap '', ''The Return of Spinal Tap'', '' Waiting For Guffman '', '' Best In Show '', and '' A Mighty Wind '', including Eugene Levy , Catherine O'Hara , Michael McKean , Harry Shearer , Fred Willard , Bob Balaban , Jennifer Coolidge , Rachael Harris , Jane Lynch , Jim Piddock , and Parker Posey . An interesting addition to the cast is Ricky Gervais , best known to Americans as the creator of the British television series '' The Office ''.

Filming officially began October 5 , 2005 .

PLOT SUMMARY

The film will center around three actors (played by O'Hara, Posey, and Shearer) who learn that their respective performances in the film ''Home for Purim'', a drama set in the mid- 1940s American South , are generating award-season buzz.
