Evening Standard British Film Awards

Together with the BAFTA s and the British Independent Film Awards , it is one the of the most important film awards in the United Kingdom.

CRITERIA

The Evening Standard British Film Award was formerly known as Evening News British Film Award. It is a silver Eros statuette. The winners are chosen by a jury of 5 movie critics from a list of all UK-made films and movie performances run in British cinemas in the preceding year.

The awards are given in the following categories: Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, The Peter Sellers Award for Comedy, Best Screenplay, Technical Achievement, Most Promising Newcomer and The Alexander Walker Special Award.
