Until 2001, the offices of EAB were located in Holland Park, London . However, in April 2001, financial pressures prompted a move. At that time, the Annual general meeting which had been planned for 31st March was deferred.

The offices relocated to the Wedgwood Memorial College , Barlaston , Stoke-on-Trent , Staffordshire
where they remain today, and where one of the largest and most important collections of material in and about Esperanto is to be found in the Montagu Butler Library .

On 2002-05-04 , the AGM was finally held after a two-year gap. Issues raised by delegates included an acknowledgment of the small membership, and a suggestion of not relying on "number of members" alone as an indicator of strength of the organisation. In each of the 2003 and 2004 AGMs, a minute's silence was held to mark the members who had died during the past year.
