Emily Maitlis




Emily Maitlis, born September 6th, 1970, is a British Television Newscaster for the BBC in the United Kingdom. Previously, she spent six years with NBC Asia creating Documentaries before moving to Sky News as a business correspondent. She then moved to BBC London News when the program started, and has now moved to '''Newsnight''' on BBC2 with Jeremy Paxman, Kirsty Wark, Gavin Elser and Martha Kearney, and presents the 7-10pm slot on '''BBC News 24''' with fellow new host Ben Brown.

During 2005 Maitlis appeared as the questionmistress on the . Emily Mailtis is the daughter of Professor Peter Maitlis, FRS, Emeritus Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Sheffield. She is a supporter of the United Jewish Israel Appeal {Link without Title} .
