Filmed over two days two concerts in June of 1977 the first in Omaha on the 20th and the second the next night in Rapid City , it is a scant six weeks prior to his death. Elvis wore the famous Mexican Sundial jumpsuit both nights, and appeared bloated, pale, and awkward. His voice was a faint shadow of its former self in most cases and he forgot the words to "Are You Lonesome Tonight" turning it into a drug ridden rabble. Still, the viewer struggles along with the singer who no one can really turn their back on as he delivers powerful versions of "How Great Thou Art", "Trying to Get to You", "Fairytale,","My Way", and "You Gave Me A Mountain". The performances though sluggish in many aspects are an outlet of emotion for a man who is disillusioned with the world and pours his heart and soul into the music. The special aired in October of 1977, after the death of Elvis. It was aired in conjunction with the release of the Live Album of the same title. The album has since gone on to be the third best selling live album ever recorded. TRACK LISTING
