The electorate lies in the extreme southwest of Queensland, running along the western part of the border with New South Wales . It contains a number of centres including: It is part of the western Queensland group of seats, and is bounded on the northeast by Callide , the north by Gregory ,the southeast by Southern Downs and on the east by Darling Downs and Cunningham .
