It is located in south-western Greater Brisbane and includes the suburbs of Acacia Ridge , Algester , Calamvale , Forest Lake and Sunnybank Hills , with parts of Coopers Plains and Inala . It is a mixture of established suburbs such as Acacia Ridge with newer areas like Forest Lake and Calamvale. Since 2001 Algester has been represented by the Australian Labor Party 's Karen Struthers , who is Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Employment, Industrial Relations, and Training. Karen Struthers was first elected to the Queensland Legislative Assembly for the electoral district of Archerfield in the 1998 state election. |
