East Putney Tube Station

East Putney is a station on the Wimbledon branch of the District Line , on the boundary of Travelcard Zone 2 and Travelcard Zone 3 .

The station was opened by the London And South Western Railway on 3rd June 1889 and was used by Metropolitan District Railway services from that date.

From this station, signalling is passed from Earl's Court to Wimbledon (NR). Network Rail retain signalling all the way from East Putney due to the branch from Putney (NR) station allowing connections to Wimbledon depot (SWT).
