Information About

Drive Shaft

Drive Shaft (sometimes written as '''Drive-Shaft''' or '''DriveSHAFT''') is a fictional band featured in the American Drama / Adventure Television Series '' Lost '', created by J.J. Abrams .

HISTORY AND TRAGIC OCCURENCES

Drive Shaft formed in Manchester and experienced explosive chart success after their song "You All Everybody" became a hit in both the UK and the US . The band members battled Drug Addiction , eventually leading them to go their separate ways. After a long hiatus, Drive Shaft decided to reunite and open for ''Meat Coat'' in the United States. The former lead singer, Liam Pace, who was now living in Australia with a family did not want to rejoin the band, and so his brother Charlie Pace (also a band member), who had gone to persuade him, caught a flight to LA in order to start the tour with the rest of the band. But tragically, his plane ( Oceanic Flight 815 ) went down somewhere over the Pacific Ocean, and he is now presumed dead.

  • The recording of "You All Everybody" is actually performed by American recording artist Jude . "Backstage with Drive Shaft" ''Lost Season 1 DVD''

  • "You All Everybody" is a reference to an audience member's famous rant on the Phil Donahue show. "Backstage with Drive Shaft" ''Lost Season 1 DVD''

  • In " The Awful Truth ", an episode of the spy thriller series '' Alias '' (another J.J. Abrams creation), "You All Everybody" is playing in the background at a party.
