Diedrich Bader




He was born in Alexandria, Virginia . At the age of two, he moved to Paris , France , but returned to the U.S. to attend High School and later college at the North Carolina School Of The Arts .

After a few guest roles on popular '', '' Quantum Leap '' and '' Cheers '', Bader's first major role was in the 1993 series '' Danger Theatre '', playing The Searcher.

He moved into cinema acting for the 1993 movie version of '' The Beverly Hillbillies '', but returned to TV for '' The Drew Carey Show '' in 1995 .

Having a deep and easily-recognizable voice, Bader is a natural choice for a voice actor and has had roles in such Animated features as '' Ice Age '', '' The Simpsons '' and '' Buzz Lightyear Of Star Command ''. Possibly his most famous voice is his deep gravelly voice he provides in '' The Grim Adventures Of Billy And Mandy '' and '' Napoleon Dynamite ''.

Also known as "Oswald" on the Drew Carey Show.

He appeared in the 1999 film '' Office Space '' as Peter's long-haired neighbor Lawrence, and in the 2004 film '' Napoleon Dynamite '' Bader played Rex, the owner of a martial arts dojo. Both of these roles had Bader altering his appearance in some way so as to be less recognizable.
