Dick Twining was born in St Pancras, London and was educated at Oxford University . He played in 78 first-class matches as a Right-handed Batsman for Oxford University , Middlesex and MCC between 1910 and 1928 . He scored 2,963 runs at an average of 22.96, with three centuries. His highest score was 135. He became President Of Middlesex CCC ( 1950 - 1957 ) and President Of MCC ( 1964 / 1965 ). He was widely respected as an Administrator .
