Information AboutDevil Trigger |
|
Dante, the Protagonist of the series, can only remain in Devil Trigger mode for a limited period. This is indicated by a set of glowing Runes under his health bar in ''Devil May Cry'', and by bars in ''Devil May Cry 2'' and ''3'' that slowly empty or fade out whenever Dante uses Devil Trigger. The gauge is refilled during combat by hitting enemies. ''Devil May Cry 2'' introduced another major character, Lucia , who is also capable of using Devil Trigger, transforming into what resembles a harpy. In addition, DMC2 allows the player to customize the Devil Triggers of both characters using an amulet that contains Devil Hearts. There are two selectable hearts for movement (flight and faster running; Lucia has a third heart for faster swimming), three hearts for elemental damage inflicted on enemies (fire, ice and lightning), and three hearts for support (slowing down time while attacking, faster healing and higher attacking power). In Viewtiful Joe, as an unlockable character, Alastor must use Devil Trigger (Z or R2) to activate his VFX powers. As Alastor stays in his Viewtiful mode, his VFX meter drains until it is empty and Alastor reverts back to normal. In Viewtiful mode, Alastor uses attacks reminiscent of attacks used by the sword Alastor in Devil May Cry. (Stinger, Round Trip, Air Raid, Vortex, etc.) RELATED LINKS |
