The Department of Transport (''An Roinn Iompair'') is the Government Department Of The Irish Government that is responsible for providing transport services and infrastructure in Ireland . The Department is led by the Minister For Transport who is assisted by two Ministers Of State . DEPARTMENTAL TEAM The official headquarters and Ministerial offices of the Department of Foreign Affairs are in Transport House, Kildare Street, Dublin 2 . The Departmental team consists of the following: HISTORY The Department of Transport was created in 1959 with Erskine Hamilton Childers becoming the first Minister.
