CRITICISM Dead or Alive is widely believed to be sold on the principle of Sex Sells . This alienated many gamers who felt that the game was only selling itself on that sexual basis, and not on the basis of its actual gameplay. The series' gameplay is too criticized by players who feel that the fighting engine is too simple, lacking the depth of many other 3D fighting games, such as '' Virtua Fighter '' and '' Tekken ''. Eventually, even ''Dead or Alive'' players have admitted to this, but maintain that the ''Dead or Alive'' series is making great strides in becoming a deep and dynamic fighting game series. FUTURE PROJECTS Tecmo has announced future ''Dead or Alive'' games including ''''.
