Cyber Girl of the Year (also CGOY) is a title given to the year's most popular model in Playboy 's Cyber Club Cyber Girls feature. The Cyber Girl of the Year must become a Cyber Girl Of The Month (winning a Playboy Cyber Club member voting contest among the month's Cyber Girls Of The Week ). Then a similar voting contest to determine the Cyber Girl of the Year takes place among the 12 Cyber Girls Of The Month . The Cyber Girl of the Year is usually announced in April of the following year and becomes the Cyber Girl of the Year for that specific year. This recognition comes with multiple added pictorials and movie downloads of the model for Playboy Cyber Club members. While the Cyber Girls feature began in August 2000 , the first Cyber Girl of the Year didn't debut until April 2002 after voting was done on the 12 Cyber Girls Of The Month for 2001.

  • None of the four Cyber Girls of the Year prior to Monica Leigh had been featured prominently in Playboy Magazine , and Leigh was the first to have been chosen to be a Playboy Playmate . It had been popular thought that once you had become Cyber Girl of the Year, you probably exhausted an opportunity to become a Playmate .
