Curve is a British music group formed in 1991 chiefly around the collaboration of singer Toni Halliday and Guitar ist Dean Garcia . The two were introduced to each other by fellow musician Dave Stewart of Eurythmics , briefly forming a group named State of Play in the late 1980s before parting ways and then reuniting for their more long-term partnership in Curve. Their music being typified by heavy beats and Garcia's densely-layered guitar tracks set against Halliday's airy vocalization of lyrics that frequently explore such topics as alienation, addiction and love on the wane. After nearly a decade-and-a-half of partnership backed by an ever-changing line-up, during which time the band broke up at least once in the mid- 1990s , Halliday announced on their official web site in early 2005 that the group had finally run its course and was no more.
