The Curonian Lagoon (or by the Curonian Spit and belongs to Lithuania and Russia . The Neman River flows into the Curonian Lagoon . The lagoon itself is cut off from the Baltic Sea by the Curonian Spit. At the northern end of the spit, there is a passage where the Lithuanian port of Klaipėda is situated.
