Information About

Croydon Central Railway Station

The short branch line separated from the main line to Brighton just south of George Street and curved sharpely west, where the Fairfield Halls are today. It then travelled under Park Lane, through where the Queen's Gardens are today and on to where the Croydon Clocktower and Town Hall stand today.

The cutting in the Queen's Gardens can still be seen today, but all other traces have gone completely.
