Information About

Corn Exchange, Manchester

The Corn Exchange in Manchester , England was built in 1897.

The front of the building runs along ''The Hanging Ditch''.

After being heavily damaged by the IRA bomb in 1996, it was renovated and reopened as the Triangle shopping centre (because of its shape). Most of the Edwardian interior was replaced by high-class retail outlets including MUJI and Jigsaw.

It faces onto Exchange Square , Cathedral Gardens and the striking glass Urbis Building.
