CISD serves the cities of Conroe , Cut And Shoot , Oak Ridge North , Shenandoah , and Woodloch . It also serves unincorporated communities in Montgomery County , including The Woodlands . The district has 40,400 students in 25 elementary schools, 9 intermediate schools, 6 junior high schools, and 6 high schools (excluding one ninth grade center). The CISD area, which covers 346 square miles, is part of the North Harris Montgomery Community College District .
