Connie Mason (born 24 August 1937 in Washington, D.C. ) is an American model and actress who was '' Playboy '' magazine's playmate of the month for its June 1963 issue. Connie attended a private school for girls in Danville, Virginia , and got married at the age of 16. After having two children, she got divorced at 21 and moved to Florida to be near her mother and stepfather. She was managing the cosmetics department for a large department store in Miami when her parents suggested that she apply for a job at the new Playboy Club . Connie became a "camera bunny" at the club, making a great deal of money in tips. Moving to Chicago to work at that city's Playboy Club, she met Oleg Cassini while working at a party at the Playboy Mansion . Cassini put her in touch with the Ford Modeling Agency in New York, which led to a three decade long career in fashion. While living in New York, Connie enrolled at the Pratt Institute and studied interior design. She appeared as an extra in several movies, sometimes being credited as Connie Snow. She was allegedly paid $175.00 for her work on '' Blood Feast ''. Connie was hired to play a leading part in '' 2000 Maniacs '', over the objections of the director, Herschell Lewis . During an interview John Waters conducted with Lewis, he said:
She dated Igor Cassini , Oleg's brother, for two years. In 1968, she married Los Angeles attorney Shelly Kasten . They separated after 18 months, but reconciled and are married to this day. Connie and her husband live in the Los Angeles area, where she continues to model and work as an interior designer. FILM APPEARANCES
