IMS Health , the world’s leading provider of information solutions to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. In June
1998 , the Company completed its initial public offering and was listed on the
NASDAQ . In November 2002, IMS Health divested its majority interest in Cognizant through a tax-free split-off,thereby making Cognizant a truly widely-held company traded on the NASDAQ.
The present CEO of the company is Lakshmi Narayanan. The base of Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS) is in the Indian city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where they have eight offices at present.
