''Chiquititas'' was the story of a group of girls and boys between the ages of eight and fourteen, who lived in an Orphanage in Buenos Aires . The orphanage was run by a relatively young Medical Doctor and his girlfriend, Belén. Typical Love and Friendship stories developed among the children, while they tried to achieve their ultimate goal of finding their parents. One of the Teenage girls was in love with the doctor.
The show's success quickly inspired the creation of ''Chiquititas'' version of the show was also filmed.
