At one time Chip Foose worked for Boyd Coddington , although there is now a very fierce rivalry between the two of them. Currently Foose is operating Foose Design, an automotive and product design company specializing in illustration, graphics, surfacing, and complete construction of automobiles, custom wheels, and other automotive related products. In November 1997 , Foose was inducted into the Hot Rod Hall of Fame, and in 2002 , was inducted into the Darryl Starbird Rod & Custom Car Museum Hall of Fame. In April 2006 , Foose unveiled a quarter-scale model of the Hemisfear Hot Rod, a custom coupe he will create with sponsorship from toy company RC2 Brands . The public unveiling of the full-size Hemisfear is planned for the Specialty Equipment Market Association ( SEMA ) trade show in November 2006.
