The Chevrolet HHR (Heritage High Roof) is a retro-look Station Wagon or a Mini SUV that was launched by Chevrolet at the 2005 Los Angeles Auto Show as a 2006 model. It shares the GM Delta Platform with the Chevrolet Cobalt and Saturn ION . It is similar in concept to the Chrysler PT Cruiser , though a bit larger. ( Thomas Gale , the designer of the PT Cruiser, also designed the HHR.) The HHR is assembled in Ramos Arizpe , Mexico and is available for sale throughout North America . In the Chevrolet lineup, this vehicle slots below the Equinox as Chevrolet's entry-level SUV.

The vehicle's design is inspired by the 1949 Chevrolet Suburban with large, square fender flares and a hemispherical grille. GM hopes to sell 60,000 per year, with pricing starting at US$15,990. The HHR in LT trim comes equipped with a standard MP3 -capable radio and power driver's seat. It has a large cargo-carrying capacity for a car of its size, with a flat-load floor and fold-flat front passenger seat.
