Cedric Pioline




He reached the final at The US Open in 1993 and Wimbledon in 1997 . He was beaten by Pete Sampras on both occasions, in straight sets. He is the only player to reach the top ten in the ATP rankings without ever winning a tournament. (He was ranked No. 5 in the world in 2000.)

He won five singles titles in his career, the biggest coming at the ATP Masters Series event in Monte Carlo in 2000. In addition to his finals appearances at the U.S. Open and Wimbledon, he reached 10 other singles finals, including at Monte Carlo in 1993 & 1998.

After retiring from tennis, Pioline became a tennis administrator. Currently, he is the Tournament Director of the Masters Series event in Paris and plays in the senior ATP tour.
