When Cap Gemini acquired
Ernst & Young Consulting in May 2000 the company was renamed Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (CGE&Y).
In 2002, the staff-augmentation practice was reorganized into an independent subsidiary called Sogeti.
In December 2003, the firm acquired Transiciel and merged the two practices into Sogeti-Transiciel (renamed Sogeti in 2006).
In April 2004, the parent company name was changed to Capgemini (one word), its current name.
