At 71° 08′ 02″ N, it is situated a couple of minutes to the south of North Cape , Europe's "official" northernmost point. Being on the island of Magerøya , however, North Cape cannot be counted as the northernmost point of ''continental'' Europe. In sharp contrast to North Cape with its extensive tourist infrastructure and busloads of visitors, Cape Nordkinn is a rather lonely place that can only be visited following a two-day Hike from Gamvik. |
