In mixed curling, the positions on a team must alternate between men and women. If a man throws last rocks, which is usually the case, a woman must throw the lead rocks and the third positions rocks, while the other male member of the team throws the second's rocks. Only once has a woman ever thrown last rocks (skipped) and won a championship, and that was Shannon Kleibrink in 2004. CHAMPIONS SEE ALSO
