Information About

Canadian Group Of Painters

In 1932, J. E. H. MacDonald died and the Group of Seven disbanded. In their wake rose a new group called the Canadian Group of Painters, of which Group of Seven members included Lawren Harris , A. J. Casson , Arthur Lismer , A. Y. Jackson , and Franklin Carmichael . Their first exhibition was November 1933. As active painters and as a group they continued to produce and influence Canadian art.
