Cady McClain (born '''Katie McClain''' on October 13 , 1969 in Burbank, California , USA ) is an actress known for her roles on the Soap Opera s '' All My Children '' (as Dixie Cooney from 1989 to 1996 , 1998 to 2002 , and 2005 to present) and '' As The World Turns '' (replacing Yvonne Perry in the role of Rosanna Cabot Montgomery Sinclair Ryan Montgomery after a long absence) from April 15 , 2002 until her final appearance on July 29 , 2005 where her character was now sent to a comatose hospital after she went into a car accident. In 2004 , McClain won a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Rosanna on ''As the World Turns''. She also won her first Daytime Emmy in 1990 for "Outstanding Ingenue" on ''All My Children''. With her departure from As The World Turns, there were largely unfounded rumors of her possibly returning to ''All My Children'' until the news broke in mid-December 2005 that Cady had signed a contract to return to the role of Dixie Cooney. Her first airdate was December 23rd. Her character returned to Pine Valley in February 2006. On All My Children, only a few people in Pine Valley currently know she is alive including her half-sister, Di Henry , played by Kelli Giddish . Dixie has revealed that her daughter, thought to have been killed in an accident, is alive, but is in a place unknown to Dixie. EXTERNAL LINKS |
