HISTORY The Sea Cadet Summer Training Camp HMCS QUÉBEC, was founded in the City of Farnham in 1976. It was founded by Commander Émilien Paradis, whose dream was to see the creation of a Sea Cadet Summer Training Centre in Québec, offering a Francophone training programme for Francophone members of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets. HMCS QUÉBEC is still the only Canadian Sea Cadet Summer Training Centre that offers its services in French for Francophone Royal Canadian Sea Cadets . HMCS QUÉBEC SCSTC moved in 1981 to the Sainte-Angèle-de-Laval sector of the City of Bécancour, Québec , on the South-Shore of Trois-Rivières ("Three Rivers"). HMCS QUÉBEC offers the opportunity for young people to rise to challenges. All the activities are planned and supervised by the 100 or so adult personnel which include officers of the Cadet Instructor Cadre of the Canadian Forces, civilian instructors, Non-commissioned members of the Canadian Forces, and about 120 senior Staff Cadets.
