The Bulgarian A Professional Football Group ("А" Професионална футболна група) or '''A PFG''' ("А" ПФГ) is the top division of Bulgarian Football . It determines the champion of Bulgaria. 16 teams take part in the division, each playing twice against every other, once home and once away. The Championship of Bulgaria exists under various names since 1924 and is administered by the Bulgarian Professional Football League .

The champion of Bulgaria has the right to take part in the UEFA Champions League from the stage allowed by The League's Coefficient . The teams that finished second and third take part in the UEFA Cup together with the Bulgarian Cup winner.
