Brandenburg started several technology companies that were later acquired by private and public corporations. In 1984, he co-founded Sculptured Software and lead the company as President. The company was eventually sold for almost $40 million after producing dozens of titles for platforms such as the C64, Atari ST, Commodore Amiga, IBM PC and Apple II. In 1994, Brandenburg started another game company, Software Arts International and produced one of the first mutiplayer game engines for the Internet. The company was acquired in 1996 by Engineering Animation, Inc. , where he was the Executive Producer for the public company's Interactive Division, producing titles for Disney , Mattel , Hasbro and Sierra Online . Bryan Brandenburg has published 7 books, is a syndicated writer, keynote speaker and has been a key contributor to almost 40 award winning software products. Bryan Brandenburg is a co-founder of the Open 3D Project , a non-profit open source 3D model organization.
