GEOGRAPHY Broaddus is located at 31°18'23" North, 94°16'8" West (31.306337, -94.268897). According to the United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 1.0 Km&2 (0.4 Mi&2 ). 1.0 km&2 (0.4 mi&2) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 189 people, 82 households, and 47 families residing in the town. The Population Density was 192.0/km&2 (501.4/mi&2). There were 103 housing units at an average density of 104.7/km&2 (273.3/mi&2). The racial makeup of the town was 99.47% White , and 0.53% from two or more races. 2.12% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 82 households out of which 26.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.1% were Married Couples living together, 9.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 41.5% were non-families. 41.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 25.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.30 and the average family size was 3.21. In the town the population was spread out with 29.1% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 24.3% from 25 to 44, 16.4% from 45 to 64, and 23.3% who were 65 years of age or older.
