Brent Sutter




Brent was the head coach of two Canadian Juniors ice hockey teams which won the Gold Medal at both the 2005 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships and 2006 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships . Both Canadian teams never lost a game in either championship. In fact, as coach Brent Sutter has never lost a game in the World Junior Hockey Championship.

Brent played for the New York Islanders and the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL and scored 829 points (363 goals + 466 assits) in 1111 regular season games + 74 points (30 goals + 44 assits) in 144 playoffsgames.

In the 1980 NHL Entry Draft Brent was the Islanders first pick, and the 17th overall. He played with the Islanders between 1980 and 1991. In 1991 he was traded the Blackhawks with Brad Lauer for Adam Creighton and Steve Thomas . He spent the last seven years of his NHL career in Chicago. During part of his time with the Hawks he was coached by his older brother Darryl.

Brent won the Stanley Cup in '82 and '83 with the Islanders. His son, Brandon, plays for him on the Rebels.
