Breezewood is a settlement in Bedford County in south-central Pennsylvania , known mainly as the location of a gap in Interstate 70 that is not up to Interstate Standards .

The settlement is not incorporated under Pennsylvania law and is treated as a portion of East Providence Township , Bedford County , Pennsylvania . Although it is not being tracked by the Census Bureau , the settlement has been assigned the ZIP Code of 15533.

I-70 uses a surface road (part of , directly connecting the Turnpike with Interstate 79 at exit 28 in Cranberry Township , an area similar to Breezewood in terms of congestion.) This short stretch is one of only Two Locations in the U.S. where there is a traffic light on a two-digit interstate highway (excluding their real termini).
