During the 1980s, the trio starred in the Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show on CBC , which was later rerun on the US cable television channel Nickelodeon . In 2002 they were made members of the Order Of Canada . Lois still records with the group but has retired from touring. They now tour under the name Sharon & Bram. In 2005 Bram announced publicly that he is suffering from a tumor which has caused partial deafness in his left ear.
