Bosnia And Herzegovina ’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 was interally selected by PBSBiH , the national broadcaster. They chose Hari Varešanovic with the song ''Lejla''. The song was composed by Eurovision Song Contest 2004 runner-up Željko Joksimović from Serbia & Montenegro , while Fahrudin Pecikoza and Dejan Ivanović wrote the lyrics that "have a touch of Bosnia & Herzegovina and tell about an unhappy love". Its visual identity will contain elements of ancient national decoration and the rich ethnic tradition of the people of Bosnia & Herzegovina in a modern styled variant. Hajrudin "Hari" Varešanović was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1961, is a famous and popular singer in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Varešanović is best known as the vocal soloist, composer and leader of the musical group Hari Mata Hari. This is not the first time he has tried to reach Eurovision. In 1999, Hari Mata Hari won the Bosnian selection with the song "Starac i More" but were disqualified because the song had been released in Finland. Hari Varešanovic has lots of experience with a career that has lasted over 20 years.
