Robert "Bob" Daisley (born February 13 , 1950 ) is from Australia. He is a legendary Bass Guitar playing musician who has performed in genres from Rock And Roll to the Blues . He revolutionized bass playing, incorporating a six-string Bass Guitar and using the "sweep picking" technique to play three Octave Arpeggios in lightning-fast succession. Daisley was Bassist and lyricist for Ozzy Osbourne and his most successful solo releases of the 1980's. After a law suit brought by Daisley for unpaid royalties, his bass tracks were removed from later remasters of '' Blizzard Of Ozz '' and '' Diary Of A Madman '' albums in 2002. The tracks were re-recorded by Rob Trujillo of Suicidal Tendencies and Metallica fame. Bob Daisley has also played for the bands Gary Moore , Black Sabbath , Rainbow , Mungo Jerry , Yngwie Malmsteen , and Uriah Heep . In September 2005, the British press reported a story that he is playing bass in a new band called Bitter Pill with David Lee Roth , Tommy Lee , and Vinnie Vincent . EXTERNAL LINKS |
