HISTORY The first meeting was conducted on January 14 , 2006 . Work has progressed rapidly, and the first Bylaw s were ratified on April 2 , 2006 . The grand opening is slated for the end of summer or start of fall. GOVERNANCE The Black Star Co-op is filed as a cooperative association in the State of Texas. Its bylaws are based on the principle of Participatory Self-management , and feature a unique compromise between traditional models of workers' and consumers' co-ops. EXTERNAL LINKS |
