Comden and Green's hits include the Broadway musicals '' On The Town '' and '' Wonderful Town '', each of which was a celebration of New York City and which were adapted into Movie Musical s as well, and '' On The Twentieth Century '' and '' Bells Are Ringing ''. They also worked on the Musical Film s '' Singin' In The Rain '' (most of whose songs were from other MGM musicals) and '' The Band Wagon ''. They wrote some of the songs to the famous version of Peter Pan which starred Mary Martin in the title role, first on Broadway and later on television. Green died on October 24 , 2002 . STAGE CREDITS
