Prior to his appointment he was in the Oil business which he abandoned in order to undertake the development of Yeshiva University. Born in Lithuania and having studied at the Telz Yeshiva ( Rabbinical College Of Telshe ) in Lithuania, he immigrated to the United States . He was also an accomplished academic and obtained a PhD . |
