Barrow began his acting career in 1963 . Before starring on ''Ryan's Hope'', he played the role of Dan Kincaid on '' The Secret Storm '' from 1970 to 1974 . In the early 1990s , he returned to television in the role of Louie Slavinsky on '' Loving '', and continued with the role even after his diagnosis with Lung Cancer .
