Bellagio is a Resort town on Lake Como in Italy . It has long been famous for its picturesque setting at the tip of the peninsula separating the lake's two southern arms, with the Alps visible across the lake to the north. Located in Como province in Lombardy , its population in 2001 was 2,945. Bellagio was the inspiration for the Bellagio hotel and casino.
